Au Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg GRAND EST / ALSACE - Orschwiller, France, 67600 Phone: +33 388 823 780 Website The château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg is nestled at a strategic location on a high hill overlooking the Alsatian plain; as a result it was used by successive powers from the Middle Ages until the Thirty Years' War when it was abandoned. In 1900 it was restored under the direction of Emperor Wilhelm II. Today it is a major tourist attraction. Le Pavillon du 757 is a small souvenir shop and restaurant just outside the castle grounds.
Hours of operation: For La Pavilion; Monday through Sunday January to March 9.00 (9:00 am) to 17.15 (5:15 pm), April to June 9.00 (9:00 am) to 18.00 (6:00 pm), July and August 9.00 (9:00 am) to 18.45 (6:45 pm), September to December 9.00 (9:00 am) to 18.00 (6:00 pm). The château hours are less than La Pavillon and is closed Christmas day, December 26th and January 1st.
Admission: Free admission for Le Pavillion. There is an admission charge for Haut-Kœnigsbourg castle. Adult €16, Children 6 to 17 years old €10, Children under 6 are free. There are 150 free parking spaces around the monument and around 10 spaces are reserved for motorbikes and 15 for buses.
