The Grenoble Cable Car is one of the first urban cable cars in the world, following those in Rio de Janeiro and Cape Town. Inaugurated in September 1934, it celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2024, symbolizing an exceptional heritage at the heart of the city. La Bastille is way more than a tourist attraction. It’s a mountain at the gateway to the city, offering an exceptional 360° panorama of the Grenoble area and surrounding mountains culminating at 1,561 feet (476 meters) above sea level. <p> Hours of operation: Minimum hours appear to be 11.00 (11:00 am) to 18.00 (6:00 pm).
