Vercingetorix (82-46 BC) was a king and chieftain of the Arverni tribe; he united the Gauls in a revolt against Roman forces during the last phase of Julius Caesar's Gallic Wars. The monumental statue of Vercingetorix was ordered by Napoleon III in 1865 to commemorate the Gaul leader’s victory over Julius Caesar at Gergovie in 52 BC.
Hours of operation: Monday through Sunday 24 hours.
Admission: Free admission. Free parking.

Machine 1 (Eurocent) is outside in front of the gazebo 175 feet (53 m) to the east of the statue. Cost to press: €1.05 each design (€1 coin and a 5 Euro cent coin). Designs all have a beaded border with 'Vercingétorix':
1. (H) Vercingétorix holding a sword with 'Alise Ste Reine'.
2. (V) Vercingétorix on a horse in front of Julius Caesar sitting on a throne with 'Reddition de Alesia'.
Machine 1 (Token) is outside in front of the gazebo 175 feet (53 m) to the east of the statue. Cost to dispense: €2. The coin slot will accept one 2 euro coin OR two 1 euro coins. Design:
