There are two medallion machines located on the lower floor of the observation deck. Buy tickets to reach the top of the tower (costs 1200 yen for adults), go down the stairs to the lower floor, and find both machines underneath the stairs. Each machine sells two designs for 600 yen each and sells an attachment for 300 yen to turn the medallion into a keychain if desired. A station to make the keychain is next to both machines.

All designs have an engraving of the island of Hokkaido on the back.

Machine 1 (on the left):
1) (gold): A colored cartoon of Goryokaku Tower with Goryokaku star fortress in the background.
2) (silver): Goryokaku Tower with Goryokaku star fortress next to it.

Machine 2 (on the right):"
1) (gold): A roaring bear with the words "Hokkaido" underneath it,
2) (gold): Goryokaku Tower with Goryokaku star fortress next to it.
