Comments:	Charles Looff, a master craftsman, created the Carrousel as a wedding gift for his daughter Emma. On July 18, 1909, Riverfront Park's cherished Looff Carrousel began operation in Natatorium Park. The carousel is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of America's most beautiful and well preserved hand-carved wooden carrousels. The Looff Carrousel proudly features 54 horses, 1 giraffe, 1 tiger, and 2 Chinese dragon chairs and a brass ring to catch. The Carrousel is beautifully restored, and the horses are decorated with jewels, flowers and peacocks. It's a real treasure.<p> Hours of operation: Monday through Sunday 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Check the website, as the hours may be extended for weekends, seasonally and for special events. <p> Admission: Free admission to the carousel and gift shop. To ride the carousel it's $3.75 single ride, $9.95 unlimited day pass. Ages 2 and under are free. Any person under the height requirement of 42" requires a paid adult chaperone. Plenty of parking across the street off of West Spokane Falls Drive. All Riverfront parking requires a fee, usually $5 for the first hour.
