The parish of Santo Tomé was founded after the Christian reconquest of Toledo by Alfonso VI in 1085, with the first documented mention in 1142. Santo Tomé offers the visitor the opportunity to explore one of the most historic and artistic churches in Toledo. Santo Tomé is home to the El Greco masterpiece "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz". Considered one of the most influential paintings in history, this church is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Spain.

Hours of operation:
Summer: March 1st to October 15th Monday through Sunday 10.00 (10:00 am) to 18.45 (6:45 pm)
Winter: October 16th to February 28th Monday through Sunday 10.00 (10:00 am) to 17.45 (5:45 pm). Closed January 1st and December 25th. December 24th and 31st until 13.00 (1:00 pm), April 7 closes at 18.00 (6:00 pm). The visit to the Church is subject to the schedule of worship and the Religious Service.
Very minimal on-street parking nearby.

Admission: 16 years old and up €4, Children from 11 to 16 years old €3, Children up to 10 years old free. It might be possible to access the token machine without paying admission if there is no line to enter the church.

Token Machine 1 inside at the line to enter the church. Cost to dispense: €2 each design. (Machine accepts €2 coin, €1 coins, €.50 coins, €.20 coins or €.10 coins. Machine does not give change). Designs both with 'Toledo Iglesia de Santo Tome':
1) Obverse: Saint Augustine and Saint Stephen lowering Don Gonzalo Ruiz into his tomb.
2) Obverse: Jesus preaching to four people.
Reverse for both designs: Eleven stars surrounding a frilly sleeved hand pointing one finger with 'National Tokens® Spanish Heritage El Entierro Del Señor De Orgaz' Iglesia de Santo Tomé Toledo'.
