Carlton Hill Edinburgh, Scotland, EH7 5AA Nelson Monument is a towering monument to commemorate Nelson's victory at Trafalgar. It was Designed by architect Robert Burn. It is at the top of Carlton hill a short walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station.
One machine located inside Nelson Monument in the museum room on the right hand side, machine presses a single design, takes £1 + 1p to roll and machine automatically pressed penny for you.

9th April 2026 - this machine is now card payment at £1.50 and is pre filled with pennies. Unfortunately it's not working, the mechanism turns but the penny doesn't release, the hopper must be jammed. Staff are aware it is out of order, no clue on when it will be fixed. |
