Take in over 15,000 square feet of rocks, minerals, fossils and other fascinating Earth Science-related objects. Pass through our indoor cave and discover minerals that glow. Gaze at the sparkling Miss Colorado Crown containing over 600 gemstones and 21 diamonds. Transport yourself to Golden’s geologic past through our windows. Hike the Bob Weimer trail and visit authentic triceratops trackways. Marvel at our beautifully restored Irwin Hoffman mining murals.
Parking can be found nearby in a paid lot or on the street if available (limited).
The machine is inside the museum, just past the entrance, to the left of the front desk. Cost is $1.01 per design. All designs have 'Mines Museum of Earth Sciences' on them. Designs are:
1) Stegosaurus,
2) Crystals,
3) Mule with an 'M' on its side,
4) Asteroid flying in Earth's atmosphere.
6/20/25: Machine is in the gift shop. Rolling great on copper.
The museum is free to visit and it's pretty neat. We parked in the paid school lot which wasn't too much. JLT |
