Opened in 1937, it has been continuously operating for over 83 years. Seaside Aquarium has over 100 species of marine life including 20 "arm" Sea Stars, Crabs, Wolf Eels, Moray Eels, and Octopi. The Seaside Aquarium established the first program to breed Harbor Seals in captivity and allows visitors the chance to feed its seals.
Hours of operation: Monday through Sunday 9:00 am (winter and summer closing hours may vary; call 503-738-6211 for specific hours). Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Free on street parking can be found on 2nd avenue. A penny book is for sale in the gift shop.
Admission: You do not have to pay admission to access the penny machine located in gift shop to the right of the entrance. Adults $11.00, Seniors (+64) $9.00, Children (6-13) $5.50, Family (up to six paid admission) $36.00, Children five and under are free with paid admission.
