Knoebels Amusement Resort is a family-owned and operated amusement park, picnic grove, and campground and has been America's largest free-admission park for 91 years of operation. Opened in 1926, the park has more than 60 rides, three wooden roller coasters, one steel roller coaster, a 1913 carousel, and a haunted house dark ride.
The park straddles two counties: Northumberland and Columbia. The complex is mainly in the Columbia County townships of Cleveland and Franklin and is in Ralpho Township on the Northumberland County side of the South Branch Roaring Creek.

All of the gift shops have a printed penny list with their images and location.

2/08/24: The campground machine is behind the registration building. TEC#4996

Knoebel's has a new penny check list with locations on the sheet. The Mine Museum shows 4 pennies on the list, but the machine is only a three penny machine with the dinosaur missing. The Camp Office machine was covered and I was told it was broken. The 100 Anniversary of Knoebel's penny never arrived.

Two separate machines at Mine Museum, with dinosaur design in machine by itself. Only 100th Anniversary penny of which I am aware is the one with the carousel horse, and this I believe was a mistake, possibly meant to say 90th, since I've had this design since July of 2016. There is also a new machine located in The Shirt Shoppe (next to the Brass Ring) that I happened upon by accident in 2025. I later noticed that it was listed as "New for 2024!" on that year's checklist card. I don't recall, but think this may be a preloaded machine, as all four designs that I have are on zincs, and I'm never without quarters and copper pennies when I visit Knoebels! CM 7/20/26
