The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is a 183-acre zoo divided into several areas: Australian Adventure; African Savanna; Northern Trek; The Primate, Cat & Aquatics Building; The RainForest; and Waterfowl Lake. Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has one of the largest collections of primates in North America and features Monkey Island, a concrete island on which a large population of Columbus Monkeys is kept in free-range conditions (without cages or walls).

6/3/2025 There are 3 new penny machines – the new machines are $1.00 per penny. Use single or credit/debit card. When you use credit/debit card charge is $4.00 and you crank to receive all 4 designs.
Locations are:
1 in the Asian Highlands in Wilderness Trek (Machne 20),
2 in the Primate Cat & Aquatics building (machines 21 & 22).
Machine 20: Asian Highlands machine: Seals, Cougar, Bison, Red Panda.
Machine 21: Octopus, Sloth, Tiger, Long Tail Lemur (I think).
Machine 22: Gorilla, and three others I don't know the name of.

We do not duplicate machine numbers for obvious reasons, confusion! The new machine numbers have been corrected.

6/29/2025 - Machines are a mix of 51 cent or dollar bills/credit card.
Machine 16 no longer exists.
Machine 18 no longer exists as the Rainforest is closed until late 2026 as part of a renovation project and after experiencing a fire in January of 2025.
I have updated the animal list for Machine 22.
