9/28/25: The zoo closed the admission booth at 3:30 and we arrived at 3:35. I went to the gift shop and the nice young man there helped me. He talked to the worker inside the zoo to let me go to the penny machine. She was super nice and said I could go in and then said maybe they had some pennies in the office. She checked and a 3rd employee said she's go roll the pennies for me because the machine had been acting up yesterday. It's a zinc machine so the 3rd gal said she's use her phone to buy them and I had cash.
I was able to get all 3 pennies and they looked fine for being zincs. 2 thumbs up to the 3 nice zoo employees who helped me today. JLT |
