Unable to see any construction work ongoing?<p> 04/05/26 - I asked a staff member in the gift shop and, despite there being no construction work, he confirmed that the aquarium no longer used the machines. <p> Aquarium Barcelona has 35 aquariums at the facility and is home to 11,000 animals representing 450 species. The aquarium contains a total of 5 million liters (1,300,000 US gallons). This includes an ocean tank for sharks, rays and other large fish. The aquarium also has a 80 meters (260 feet) underwater tunnel. The Aquarium of Barcelona is part of the Aspro Parks and is a member of the Iberian Association of Zoos. Hours of operation: Monday through Sunday 10.00 (10:00 am) to 19.00 (7:00 pm) minimum.
