8046 Frankford Avenue Philadelphia, PA , 19136 Phone: 215-338-3000 Website The Insectarium is Philadelphia's only all-bug museum. Insectariums often display a variety of insects and similar arthropods, such as spiders, beetles, cockroaches, ants, bees, millipedes, centipedes, crickets, grasshoppers, stick insects, scorpions and mantids. Displays can focus on learning about insects, types of insects, their habitats, why they are important, and the work of entomologists, arachnologists, and other scientists that study terrestrial arthropods and similar animals..
The machine is located in the gift shop next door to the museum entrance. Four designs are:
1) Scorpion,
2) Butterfly,
3) Ladybug,
4) Praying Mantis.
12/4/17: Machine is still the same (tree stump), at the same location inside the gift shop, and works great. Free parking (in lot on the left). (CR from NJ) |
