The park is 385 acres in land area with 2,400 acres submerge d and 4 miles of beach. It lies at the western end of Causeway Boulevard, which becomes Curlew Road east of Alternate US 19.<p> Honeymoon and neighboring Caladesi Island were originally part of a large barrier island that split in half during a major hurricane in 1921. The waterway between the islands is known as Hurricane Pass. <p> Must pay admission. $4 for 1 person in a car. $8 for 2-8 people in a car. $2; per person on foot or bike. <p> The machine is in the nature center! Head up the stairs or the ramp. The machine is located looking towards the water by the coin-operated binoculars. Designs are: <br> 1) Leatherback Turtle, <br> 2) Great Egret, <br> 3) Osprey, <br> 4) Lightning Whelk and Fighting Conch (both shells on one penny). <p> 5/15/26 The machine has been moved to the nature center!
