5656 E. Silver Springs Blvd Silver Springs (near Ocala), FL , 34488 Phone: 352-236-2121 Website Silver Springs is a group of artesian springs that feed into the Silver River in Marion County, Florida. It is the largest artesian spring in the world and the site of the oldest commercial tourist attraction in Florida, and was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1971. Its main features are the glass-bottom boat tours on the river, which have operated there, in various forms, since 1878. Long privately owned and operated, the springs area was formerly the site of a small amusement park, Silver Springs Nature Theme Park.
There is plenty of free parking available on site. The park has a $2.00 entrance fee.
Machine 7 is located within the "volunteer building" which is the first building once you have paid entrance to the park, just to the left of the gift shop if you are outside of the gift shop. The volunteers are the only ones with keys to this part of the building, so they must be present for you to be able to use the machine. No other employees will be able to open this area, and the volunteers do not keep a strict schedule, but they are usually available on the weekends during the summer time.

7/17/25: Attempted to use the machine, paid entrance to the park but the volunteer building was closed/ locked. Multiple employees informed me that they do not keep a specific schedule, and that no one else has keys to this building. I was able to see the machine through the windows, but was unable to use it. Updated the location info above to help others. |
