You will need to pay admission to gain access to the machine. As you enter the zoo, take the pathway to the left. It is located next to the souvenir photo booth.

Free parking for the zoo.
Admission is $17.95.

Machine 4: (Machine 1 on the machine) is outside gift shop:
1) Snake,
2) Raccoon,

4) Tiger jumping.

Machine 5: (Machine 2 on machine) inside the reptile enclosure. 4 designs
1) Flying Bird,
2) Salamander,
3) Longhorn Bull,
4) Tapir

Token Machine 1: Tokens are $5 each or all four for $18:
1) 'Lion', head,
2) 'Sloth', climbing a branch,
3) 'Peacock', with tail fully extended,
4) 'Tortoise',
Rear- 'Virginia Zoo Norfolk, VA', Giraffe logo.

11/16/2025 - Both penny machines pressed great and the designs came put on shiny new pennies that are supplied by the machines. Still $1 for each penny design.
Can get one by using $1 dollar bill or all four at once when you pay by credit card.
Machine #4 is located in the Tiger/Orangutan viewing cave. Not sure if this is a permanent move or temporary because the gift shop is closed for renovation.
Machine #5 and the token machine still located in the same areas mentioned above.
