Birch Aquarium at Scripps (sometimes referred to as Scripps Aquarium or Birch Aquarium) is the public face of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego. It features more than 5,000 animals representing 380 species. The hilltop site provides spectacular views of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography campus and the Pacific Ocean.

I asked nicely to ticketing agent and they did allow me access to them without paying the $24.95 admission.

Machine 7: Next to left door/ramp to the tide pools. It is preloaded with pennies and cost $1 for 1 penny, or $4 for all 4. If using card, you will be charged $4 and given 4 pennies.
