Ragged Point Inn was opened in the early 1960's and is still family owned by descendants of the original developers. Ragged Point Inn has 39 rooms overlooking a breath taking view of the Pacific Ocean. The snack bar, a gourmet restaurant, gift shop, gas pumps, artisan jewelry shop, coffee bar, and mini-market share the property. On summer weekends, local bands perform on the plaza, free of charge. Ragged Point Inn is a small stop on Highway 1 located15 miles north of Hearst Castle (if driving northbound) and 11 miles south of Gorda (if driving southbound) in the southern portion of Big Sur.

Hours of operation: Vary seasonally but usually the machine is available 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Plenty of free parking.

Machine 2 The penny machine is outside (inside on bad weather days) next to the mini-market. Cost to press: 51¢ each design. Designs all have 'Ragged Point' on them:
1) (H) Coastline at Ragged Point in an oval with 'Inn And Resort'.
2) (V) The sun shining on a view of the cliffs from the plaza inside a rectangle with 'California'.
3) (H) An Otter floating on its back with 'Inn And Resort'.
