This floating museum is permanently docked along the Duluth waterfront and features many exhibits and artifacts that document the ship’s working life as the flagship of the USS Great Lakes Fleet, the "Silver Stack." There is plenty to see, including the huge engine and the antique interior fittings.

The machine is very old and sometimes the images don't print properly unless you have the image selected just right on the wheel. The machine is in the gift shop but seems to move around a bit. Designs are:
1) 'Splitrock Lighthouse', This lighthouse is 45 miles up the shore from Dulth. It's a beautiful structure with a rich history. There's a great timeline on the Minnesota Historical society's web site mnhs.org
2) 'The Edmund Fitzgerald 10 November 1975'. The ship and the whole crew were claimed by Lake Superior in November 1975
3) 'Ariel lift Bridge Duluth, MN', Google Duluth Harber to see the bridge in action.
4) 'Canal Park Duluth, MN'. ship, Bridge, Lighthouse. This is where the SS William Irvin lives..

The machine was moved here from the Spietz Market Place.

8/29/24: We lined up the designs carefully and the pennies came out great. TEC#5776
