Petrín Tower, one of the most prominent landmarks of Prague, was built as part of the Jubilee Exhibition in 1891 as a loose copy inspired by the Eiffel Tower (at a ratio of 1:5). It is 58.70 metres high, and 299 steps lead to its peak, which is at the same altitude as the real Eiffel Tower. The view from its top overlooks not only the whole city, but on a clear day you can see nearly all of Bohemia.
This machine is located on the miniature version of the Eiffel Tower on Petrin Hill, near the castle. Take the incline railway to the top of the hill and follow the signs to the tower. You need to pay admission to access the first level of the tower where the machine is located. I think the fee was 50 crowns.
The machine takes 20 crown coins and presses slugs, which are kept in a little container on the top of the machine. But, it works fine on American pennies.
The machine is located on the middle level of the Petrin Tower monument, not at the very top. You can either take the stairs up (150 crowns) or take the elevator up (210 crowns) and take the stairs down. You cannot get change inside the tower do make sure you bring 20 crown coins.
